Batik-printed textiles

This line of textiles was specifically designed for pillow upholstery in furniture, using the batik technique by the artisan Eazy in Dar es Salaam.

Through collaborative efforts in Eazy’s home workshop, we developed a range of diverse patterns and colour palettes to infuse vibrancy into our furniture collections.

These textiles are present in Kizimkazi and Pemba Series, in cushions crafted by our skilled tailor Minja from Zanzibar.

Available Patterns

The fabric used for the printed textiles is heavy natural canvas, washable. The final products are used to upholster cushions filled with sufi (natural cotton from the Kapok tree), a hypoallergenic and anti-moisture resource.

These characteristics come together to provide unique comfort in a sustainable and entirely natural product.

Work in progress

Batik is an artisanal technique in which wax is applied to fabrics in specific patterns. The fabric is then dyed repeatedly until the desired design and colour are achieved.
